In Time

A short while ago, I was with a friend having a long lunch at a superb tapas restaurant in Seville. We fell to talking about the nature of the relationships I want with friends I encounter in this ‘other world’.

Perhaps inspired but the vino tinto, I said something about ‘bubbles in time’. And the more we thought about it, the more this expressed perfectly the nature of the best kind of relationship. Not one that mimics real life with all it’s practical stresses and waning interest, but equally not one that ignores the real and genuine connection that can form between courtesan and client.

I want my relationship with you to be that perfect bubble that we both anticipate, relish and develop.
